Kelowna mayor Tom Dyas - Regal 42 FXO - $100

The cost to the Sandhers for their City of Kelowna permit to dump plant waste into a manhole was a one-time fee of $100. There MAY be a usage fee, but that is buried in the by-laws. It wouldn't be significant.
The high level mayor type pow-wow was held on board the brand new Sandher $1m Regal 42 FXO yacht. Some say the mayor is under investigation for his too cozy connection to the Sandhers.

Documents outlining trucking of Sandher waste water. Here and Here.
It appears Kelowna citizens may dump into manholes for near free. The City of Kelowna approval of Sandher dumping into a city sewer has minimal cost. Virtually every business in Kelowna should shutter its mandated sewer and dump into the nearest manhole for savings off the backs of taxpayers.

There is no time limit spelled out. The permit appears permanent. There is no benefit to Kelowna taxpayers.
The Sandhers bought a new $1m CDN Regal 42 FXO in spring 2024, likely to host private sit-downs on the lake with corrupt politicos. It was moored at Kelowna Yacht Club. Kelowna mayor Dyas and councillor Mohini Singh were guests on the 42 foot yacht. Afterwards they announced taxpayer support to assist Sandher with their 7+ years of dumping illegally into a Kelowna ditch.
The Sandhers have approached all levels of government looking for hand-outs while screaming about BC Tree Fruits. BCTF was their former major competitor.
1. Does this arrangement mean the City of Kelowna has entered into, or will enter into, a financial contract with Sandher Fruit Packing for wash water disposal? If so, what are the particulars of the contract? From what part of the city budget will Sandher Fruit Packing be paid?

2. Who made the decision to enter into this arrangement with Sandher Fruit Packing? Mayor Tom Dyas, Kelowna city council, in a formal recorded vote or others? If others, who?

3. Why is the city entering into this arrangement with Sandher Fruit Packing, in view of this packer being twice fined for discharging effluent into a failed septic field?
The recent WorkSafe fine of $40k to G.P. Sandher Holdings for trying to kill their mostly Mexican laborers will not affect the city’s agreement with Sandher Fruit Packers. “That is within their business,” Mayor Tom Dyas drooled. “With regards to any other business operations around their facility, and fines they need to pay, I was not aware of any of those.”
There is much Dyas is unaware of. The City of Kelowna has no business dealing with the Sandhers at all, and giving them taxpayer favours smacks of bribery and corruption.
“We’re just trying to find a way to help the growers, this relationship was brought forward to us, and we’re going to ask them to be respectful in advancing this on an interim basis.”
"I am pleased to advise that the City will assist the fruit growing industry by entering into an arrangement with Sandher Fruit Packing for wash water disposal on a limited term basis while they work through their Provincial approval for a longer-term solution. This arrangement supports the local fruit growing economy and our local farmers, addresses the concerns of the surrounding community, and adds further measures in place to ensure the protection of the natural environment."

Tom Dryas cannot be this obtuse so must be corrupt. Bir Singh Sandher has polluted into a Kelowna ditch for over 7.5 years. He has undercut all other growers, including those in B.C. Tree Fruits, for 20 years. He likely has $1 billion tied up in Kelowna alone yet cannot dig a $25k lined sewage lagoon to comply with the law. Kelowna City Hall increased their salaries 35% and Tom 'Toad King' Dyas punished those who objected.
Toad King Dryas stole an instant 15% pay hike to over $145k per year.

Kelowna Councillor Mohini Singh was a key mover in the steal from the city. She has backed the Sandher's every wish for years. She is a former reporter who used to work at the ALC as spokesperson. Mohini Singh was born in 1960 in Hyderabad, Andra Pradesh, India and immigrated to Canada in 1983. She is Sikh.
Her Provincial ambitions were recently scuttled, perhaps because she ought not be in public office at all. Punjabi in Canada are less than 1.9% of the population. Making a career of catering to revolting millionaire terrorist Punjabi crime bosses seems dense in the extreme. Mohini Singh is an offense.
