 Jagtar Singh Tara | The Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF) is the militant arm of the Khalistan independence movement. Their objective is the establishment of a separate Sikh state in Punjab, by violence. The KTF was founded in 2011 by Jagtar Singh Tara, a former Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) militant. He killed Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh and 17 others in a bomb blast. After escaping from prison in 2004, Jagtar Singh Tara fled to Pakistan, and then Thailand. He was busted in 2015 and deported to India. Hardeep Singh Nijjar joined the KTF in 2013 as an aide to Tara. He became boss after Tara’s re-arrest. Nijjar was executed June 18, 2023 in Surrey. |  |
